Day 1:
Morning arrival in South Africa, your guide will meet you upon arrival at Johannesburg's O R Tambo International Airport.
Depart to Pretoria for a city tour that includes the Voortrekker Monument, Paul Kruger House, Church Square
and Union Buildings. Lunch in Pretoria. Overnight near Muldersdrift just outside Pretoria, dinner at the Carnivore restaurant.

Day 2:
Depart to Hluhluwe via Ermelo and Piet Retief. Overnight on Bonamanzi private game park in Zululand.

Day 3:
This morning you have an option of joining the ranger on a game walk, rest of the morning at leisure.
This afternoon we travel to the Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve, in by-gone years this reserve was the
hunting grounds of Zulu Kings. Spend the rest of day in search of the "Big 5" and a host of other animals.
Dinner at the camp's restaurant. Overnight on Bonamanzi private game park in Zululand.

Day 4:
Take a cruise on the St Lucia estuary, a lake riddled with crocodiles and hippos in the Greater St Lucia Wetlands.
Depart after the cruise to Shakaland for lunch and check into hotel. Enjoy Zulu hospitality at its best with
a traditional Zulu festival at Shakaland, dinner at the hotel.

Day 5:
Early departure for a day of history and battlefields, visit places that still exude an ambience of a once mighty Zulu nation,
such as the "Battle of Blood River", the Anglo-Zulu war battlefields of Isandlwana and Rorke`s Drift. Overnight in Dundee.

Day 6:
Travel to Umhlanga, the rest of the day at leisure in Umhlanga with its golden beaches washed by
the warm Indian Ocean in a sub - tropical setting. Overnight in Umhlanga.

Day 7:
Travel to Giants Castle in the Natal Drakensburg Mountains, also known as the "barrier of spears" via the historical city of
Pietermaritzburg, stop for lunch at Howick waterfall. Dinner at the lodges restaurant. Overnight in the Natal Drakensberg Mountains.

Day 8:
A day at leisure in the beautiful Natal Drakensburg Mountains where Bushmen left their life stories in the form of
paintings and drawings on the rocks and in the caves. Visit Giants Castle cave for a guided tour or take a walk
along one of the numerous nature trails in this park. Dinner at the lodges restaurant. Overnight in the Natal Drakensberg Mountains.

Day 9:
Travel the Oliviershoek Pass to the village of Clarens and the Golden Gate Highlands National Park.
Spend the afternoon relaxing at the hotel or take a walk along one of the numerous nature trails in the park.
Optional horse riding or game drives are available.

Day 10:
Back to Johannesburg the commercial hub of South Africa. Township tour of Soweto.
Time for last minute shopping before your departure.

Day 11:
Take a scenic drive around the Cape of Good Hope. Visit Hout Bay and the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island,
Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point, Boulders - Penguins.
Lunch along the way. Optional and weather permitting - we take the cableway up Table Mountain. Evening at leisure.
Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 12:
A day at leisure, where you can do the following optional activities - a city orientation tour of South Africa's beautiful Mother City
on the "hop-on hop-off bus" or visit a local township or visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 17 years or visit
to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens or visit one of the numerous beautiful beaches around the Cape or for the energetic - take
a hike up Table Mountain or for the brave - shark cage diving. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 13:
Wine tasting and cellar tour at one of the wine estates along the Cape's world-renowned Stellenbosch Wine Route,

before your farewell dinner at Vijff Vlieghen (Five Flies) Restaurant. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 14:
Morning at leisure. Lunch at the V & A Waterfront, time for last minute shopping and weather permitting an optional
